Acer to Release Their Latest Predator, the Aspire G

Besides their new M-Series desktop PC, Acer introduced a new Aspire G, also known as the “Predatorâ€â€¦
For their flagship model, the ASG7710-A41, Acer offers a Core i7-950 @ 3.06GHz CPU, 6GB of DDR3 RAM (up to 12GB), an Intel X58 Express Chipset, 1TB of SATA HDD @ 7200rpm, two Nvidia GeForce GTS 250 (1GB of VRAM), a Blu-ray disc drive, as well as 11 USB 2.0 ports, 2 eSATA ports, a multi-card reader, 4 DVI-D ports, two Gigabit Ethernet… It runs on Windows Vista Home Premium (64bit), and also comes with the G15 keyboard and the G9 Laser mouse.
Soon available, you should get this beast for around 259,800 Yen, or €1950.
ASX5810: New Acer Aspire X Available Next Week
 
Acer also announced a new Aspire X Series dekstop PC, the ASX5810-A40F, scheduled to be released next week (August 7th).
Less impressive than the Predator previously announced, the ASX5810 is still decent and features an Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 (2.33GHz), 3GB of DDR3 (up to 8GB), an Intel G43 Express chipset, 1TB of HDD, an Nvidia GeForce GT 120 (1GB of VRAM), a DVD SuperMulti Drive, as well as 9 USB ports, eSATA port, a DVI-I port, HDMI output, a Gigabit Ethernet.
It runs on Windows Vista Home Premium (32bit) and comes with a 20″ crystal brite LCD screen with a resolution of 1600×900, a response time of 5ms, and a brightness of 300cd/m2
Price: 129,800 Yen, or €975.
Nikon D300s Officially Official with Autofocus 720p Movie Mode

Nikon just officially announced their all-new D300s featuring the 720/24p movie mode with autofocus which should be available very soon for $1799.95 in the US (body). Targeting professional-level users, this new DSLR will be equipped with a 12.3Mpix DX sensor, 51 autofocus point, a burst shooting @7fps, as well as the Nikon’s exclusive EXPEED™ image processing, a built-in microphone, an external stereo microphone input and a dual CF-SD card slot.
Ok, I think, like us, you’re little bit disappointed since Nikon just added the 720p mode, a Full HD Video mode would have been more appropriated… Maybe for a new D700 the designed competitor for 5D MK II?
Anyway, hope to get it soon to write a review and see the new HD movie mode!
Samsung 8500 Series LED HDTVs

Samsung has expanded its LED HDTV line-up with the all-new 8500 Series. Available in 46-inch and 55-inch sizes, these new HDTVs support a 1080p High Definition playback, 7,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 2ms response time, a 240Hz refresh rate and an Energy Star 3.0 savings mode. In addition, these HDTVs also come with several connectivity ports including 4 HDMI, component, 2 USB 2.0, Ethernet, optical audio and PC. The Samsung LED HDTV 8500 Series will start shipping in September for $3,599.99 (46-inch version) and $4,499.99 (55-inch version).
AAXA P2 Pico-Projector

AAXA Technologies has unveiled their latest pico-projector called the P2. Measuring only 4.3-inch x 2.1-inch x 1-inch and weighing just 260 grams, this palm size projector provides a 800 x 600 resolution, 33 lumens brightness, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, a 1GB of storage, a microSD card slot and a 1,700mAh rechargeable battery that lasts up to 35 minutes in use time. It also comes with stereo 1W speakers, a 3.5mm composite A/V port, a mini USB port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a VGA port. The AAXA P2 pico-projector is now available for pre-order for $349.
B273HUbmidhz: New QWXGA 27″ LCD Monitor with USB Hub

We finished with Acer and their new 27″ LCD screen, the B273HUbmidhz. This monitor provides a resolution of 2,048×1,152 (QWXGA), with an aspect raito of 16:9, a brightness of 400cd/m2, a contrast ratio of 40,000:1 (ACM), a viewing angle of 160°, and a response time of 5ms.
It also features DVI-D (HDCP) port, HDMI 1.1 port, a D-Sub port, USB hub (5 ports) and speakers with a power of 1.5Wx2.
