With InfoComm just around the bend, NEC is making sure its two newest projectors don’t get (too) lost in the shuffle. Up first is the NP905, which offers up 3,000 lumens, an XGA (1,024 x 768) native resolution, 500:1 contrast ratio, built-in speaker and HDMI 1.3 socket.

Honlai will be launching a bite-sized MP100 LED projector that uses LCoS micro-projection technology and projects a 640 x 480 image between 5- and 37-inches, and a 200:1 contrast ratio. No word on pricing or availability just yet.

Sanyo has finally made two projectors for the States known as the PLC-XC55 (3,100 lumens) and the PLC-XC50 (2,600 lumens).

While it likely won’t hold onto the (slightly dubious) title for long at the rate mini-projectors are cropping up these days, Hong Kong-based Earth Trek has nonetheless gone out and proclaimed its new 90-805R projector to be the “world’s smallest” and, indeed, it is small.

Projection Design has now shipped the world’s first DLP projector. It features a WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) display, supports 1080p content, 4:3 formats, DLP .95 chip and 2x 300W UHP lamps, 2,000 hours of life at full power as well as inputs for DVI, HDMI 1.3a, VGA, and component. No word on the pricing, but considering it’s the World’s First DLP, it’s a bit pricey.

Pioneer has just unveils its new KURO KRF-9000FD Full HD Projector with engine features Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS) technology - promised the high 30,000:1 contrast ratio.

Matsushita Electric has launched 3 new Liquid crystal projectors: the PT-LW80NT, the PT-LB80NT, and the PT-LB75NT. All three are of course wireless and dustproof. Get them starting May 26th 2008.
