This is no doubt a spiritual treasure that is worthy of the treasury of a major Cathedralor the main altar of a Church. The heavy Italian brass relic shrine touts a reliquary of the twelve Apostles. Shaped like a gothic chapel, the Apostle Shrine is festooned with five windows crowned by gothic arches and a large sphere with the cross of Christ on the rooftop.
Sealed with the red wax seal of Cardinal Maurilio Fossati, Archbishop of Turin (1876-1965) Cardinal since 1933, the reliquary theca with its many filigree details is indubitably a masterpiece. This reliquary was prepared for the Holy Year of the Salvation 1933. The precious antique reliquary is listed on eBay with a ‘But it Now’ price of US $3,980.
