HP Goes Green with Rp5700 Slim Desktop PC

Following the footsteps of many other companies, HP has also thought of going green this time with its new environmentally friendly rp5700 slim desktop PC.
The company boasts of the new system as it has received the Electronic Products Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT) Gold award based on its component and materials. Interestingly, 95 percent of the rp5700 is recyclable and is made of such components that consume very less power resulting in a more energy efficient system. It also touts an optional solar renewable energy source to get the power from the sun.
The innards include Intel Core 2 Duo chips up to 2.13GHz, a maximum of 4GB of DDR2 RAM, SATA hard drives up to 250GB, optional RAID 1 setups, and operating system of your taste. The base configuration with a Celeron 440 CPU with 512MB of RAM sells for $817. Additional configurations start as low as $648.
