Former Felicity star Keri Russell has backed her way out of the spotlight ever since becoming pregnant with her now 5-month-old son River.
The 31-year-old actress recently spoke to Parade magazine, filling staff writer James Brady in on how things have been going now that she’s married and tending to her little prince. At the start of the interview, Keri told, “My husband came home early so I could meet you. I don’t have an aversion to nannies or baby-sitters, but in these early months there’s a control aspect to a baby—you want to do everything.”
Following a four year run on television, Keri took a few years off to relax and enjoy Greenwich Village. Since that time, she’s taken supporting roles in Mission: Impossible III, The Upside of Anger and a few other films before moving on to leading roles in Waitress and two upcoming films: August Rush, which is due out this month, and The Girl in the Park.
Yet, now that her son has been born, it looks like Keri is once again staying away from the set - this time to enjoy family life and help out with the construction of her new house.
When asked what she would do if a big offer came her way, Keri told, “With River so little and Shane (her husband) working on our new house, the offer would have to be terrific, perfect.”
